The Plant Stories Project has recorded the answers many people gave to this question through East Africa and Southern India. This has given us a picture of how people relate to plants and we want to pass that on to YOU.

We have a collection of photographs of plants and the people that think thought those plants were important. As the aim of this project is education we aim to make the audio files and photos available for download. On this website you can find some stories, and links to the photos, audio files, and pdf posters we have available for download.

All material is licensed to “The Plant Stories Project, Malcolm Rutherford and Amanda Armstrong” under Creative Commons -Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC). That means you can do pretty much anything with the resources available, but we would like to be attributed, and we would prefer if you did not use our work to make money. Also, we would like the information we have collected to be used in ways that further cross cultural understanding, respect for the environment. We would love to hear about how you use the resources we have collected.
